LATE BREAKING NEWS FOR THE FALL 2009 SEMESTER
Due to a number of issues, the following changes are being made to the Fall 2009 schedule:
WMT 252/269L T/Th 6:00-10:00pm has been cancelled
WMT 241/111L M 1:00-5:00pm has been cancelled
WMT 101 M 7:30-noon will be taught by Mike Jones
WMT 102 M/W 6:00-10:00pm will be taught by Carl Stammerjohn

There are still openings in some of our classes. Unfilled classes are in jeopardy of being cancelled, so if you want to sign up, please do so as soon as possible. The following classes have vacancies:
WMT 102 Intro to Solid Wood Casegoods
In this course you will learn casegood construction techniques. The nightstand project includes many techniques that will help you in future casegood projects, including making web frames, slab sides with blind dado construction, and through tenons. We’ll also cover hinge and hardware installation, among other topics.

WMT 118 Introduction to Woodturning
Ever wanted to complete a project in one class session? This is the class to take. Learn the basics of woodturning on the lathe. Each student is assigned their own lathe in this class.

WMT 185 CNC Woodworking
Our new 3-axis router can be programmed with Cabnetware, Cabinet Vision, or Alphacam. To design anything other than cabinets, Alphacam is our software of choice. With Alphacam you could cut out and dado cabinet sides, contour and sculpt chair parts, create signs, and perform other timesaving operations. Topics include software operations, preparing G-code instructions for the machine, and use of the router. Be one of the first to use the router to its fullest.

WMT 204 Advanced Tables
Want to make that dining table you saw in that catalog? This advanced course will expand your knowledge of table design and construction to include large tables such as dining and conference tables, expanding tables, and torsion box table top construction. Tony will cover many advanced topics in this class.

WMT 212 Routers and Router Tables
In this class you’ll build your ultimate router table. We’ll discuss router lifts, bit storage, dust collection, top layouts, jigs & fixtures, and more. Taking this course will teach you everything you need to know about routers and provide an opportunity to add an essential piece of equipment to your shop.
Prerequisite: WMT 101 or WMT 151*
