Career Counseling

Selecting a challenging and fulfilling career begins with having a good understanding of who you are, as well as a good understanding of the world of work. Sound career planning involves optimizing the links between the two.

The counselors in Career Services encourage, nurture, and support you in the process of deciding on and achieving your educational and career goals.

Career counselors can help you:

  • Explore and make informed decisions about majors and careers
  • Develop plans to achieve your educational and career goals
  • Choose an appropriate major for your career goal
  • Gain a sense of your interests, values, personality, and skills and understand how these factors may be incorporated into your education, career and life
  • Sort out your thoughts, ideas and concerns about educational and career choices
  • Identify ways and places to obtain education and training for your goal
  • Access relevant, updated sources of career and labor market information
  • Prepare for your job search

Career counseling is right for you if you need help:

  • Discovering major and career options
